The 20,000-acre Sand Hollow State Park is Utah’s newest state park, and opened to the public in 2003. It’s located near Hurricane, Utah, mostly on BLM land, and is renowned for its red sand beaches, visually stunning red rock formations and some of the best trails in the state.
The park’s 1,322-acre reservoir is warm, which makes it great for swimming and water skiing as well as boating. In addition to the water fun, Sand Hollow is one of the area’s most popular spots for ATVs and OHVs, offering riders more than 6,000 acres of sand dunes that have open riding as well as technical trails where you can test your skills.
