The Stein Glacier is a 4 km long glacier (2005) situated in the Urner Alps in the canton of Berne in Switzerland. It is known because the glacier retreat has created a quite large lake (Steisee or Steinsee) and the glacier can be seen very well from the Susten Pass (Sustenpass) road.
There are numerous climbing sectors around the Stein Glacier on Sustenpass. The easy to grip, rough gneiss and short ascent characterise the area. Absolutely endless possibilities between the third and seventh grade, surrounded by a beautiful mountain backdrop.
