I initially thought renting a car in Italy would be complicated. But Hertz made it very simple. When asked if I needed additional insurance, I declined and they didn’t push it further. Driving in Italian cities can be challenging as people drive fast and don’t follow rules. However, I enjoyed driving on Italian highways; everyone drives fast but follows the rules, similar to Northern Europe.

The first staff member was very dismissive, though the staff later were quite nice.

Received fines two months later, found many similar cases online

Hertz provides excellent service. They immediately replaced the vehicle according to our needs, and the vehicle condition was also very good!

Staff at counter was very rude at drop off. Staff at pickup were dismissive and not helpful. Forced car on us we did not want or book. They tried to up sell us to get what we had originally booked. Horrible hertz.
