I was offered extra insurance when I have already paid for the full coverage with Easy Rentals. Apparently, to get my full insurance, I would have to call the police in Turkey, which might refuse to report the minor accident. Extra full insurance for 13euro a day, would save me this trouble. This is what I've heard from Avis Staff. Honestly, it sounds like trying to squeeze money out of me for things that I'm not sure even make any sense.
Staff isn't great. Few things are explained to you. I received my contract and walked for 15 minutes in 40C to get my car. There was a mistake, and I had to go back to get my contract remained. Nobody even said sorry or made any effort to apologise.
The car was new but greatly scratched on the bumper and front. Cleanliness inside wasn't perfect- pieces of carton inside the car etc...
The service attitude was very good. However, the price of the reserved safety seat and the second driver's fee were three times higher than what was requested at the time of pickup. After three flights, I was extremely tired and delayed nearly three hours at the airport. Problems couldn't be solved through international calls, so I was forced to pick up the car. The rental company promised to resolve this after I returned home, but after a month, they are still stalling. When changing the car at Sabiha Gokcen Airport, the staff couldn't speak English, and there was no formal return receipt. I had to struggle to get a handwritten note in the local language. This was still with Avis.
The young lady at the pickup point (garage) was very courteous, patient, and answered all our questions (despite her limited English). The staff at the drop-off point were also very helpful. Initially, we didn't know where to return the car, but the lady at the airport terminal personally escorted us to the return point and handed us over to the on-duty staff.
The attitude was generally okay. They did try to sell insurance, and when I declined, their demeanor changed immediately, but the service is still better than many places in China. They don't insist you read the contract, so remember to check the fees yourself before signing.

About AVIS:10.0/10
The process was simple, service was good, the car was in great condition, there was no extra insurance required, and the return process was smooth. A heads-up: make sure to return the car very clean. They upgraded us to a new Ford Focus SUV.
The car remained in perfect condition throughout the entire rental period, and I drove it with care. Unfortunately, it rained heavily the second day, making the car a bit dirty. When I returned the car, I mentioned that I was willing to pay for a car wash. To my surprise, the rental company quoted 150 lira, calling it a discounted price. I was frankly shocked.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
