Didn't notice when returning the car, there were some scratches on the door from tree branches. Waxing could fix it, but I still ended up being charged 8560 THB, around 1670 RMB. It's better to buy full insurance when you're out and about to avoid worries. If you didn't buy full insurance, it's best to check the car against your order before returning it. If there are scratches, fix them at a detailing shop first, or you'll get charged directly.
The car condition was rather poor. Later, I planned to return the car in the city. When I called customer service, they said it was fine and gave me a local contact number. However, when I reached out to her, she said there were not enough staff to pick up the car from my location. The experience was quite disappointing!
The pickup process was good, but when returning the car, there was a scratch on the vehicle. The woman at the company store was quite dramatic and did not speak Chinese, so we had to communicate in English. They insisted on charging me, claiming to have given me a 50% discount, and I ended up paying 4280 THB. Back home, a similar paint job at a dealership would cost no more than 500.
The car had many scratches, and the staff who gave us the car was very impatient when we asked to mark them. More Chinese signs would be helpful to avoid language barriers.
The counter is located just outside the arrival hall of Chiang Mai Airport, in a very obvious place. I booked to pick up the car at 10 PM, but I didn't get through customs until 11 PM. I thought the rental store would be closed, but to my surprise, it was still open. I ran over excitedly, and two pretty girls who spoke basic English were waiting just for me. However, I had to pay an extra 535B for overtime. I asked if this fee would be waived if I picked up the car tomorrow since I had booked for three days, and they said yes. But considering a taxi would cost around 500B anyway, and I would need another taxi the next day, I decided to pay the fee. Additionally, I had booked a baby seat in advance, but it wasn't installed, and the staff didn't know how to install it either. I had to figure it out by myself using the manual, which was really exhausting just after getting off the plane while wearing a down jacket. The car had only 15,000 kilometers on it.
