Cross-border requests must be submitted to Avis at least 7 days before the pickup date. A copy of passport and driver's license is needed in advance to process travel into another coutry. The following locations permit travel into Chile with a 60,000 ARP fee (tax excluded) for crossing the border: Bahia Blanca, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, El Calafate, Esquel, Mendoza, Neuquen, Puerto Madryn, Rio Gallegos, San Juan, San Luis, San Martin de Andes, Trelew, Viedma. For pickups in Jujuy or Tucuman, the rental must be a minimum of 6 consecutive days for car groups G and N. Similarly, for pickups in Rio Grande or Ushuaia, the rental must be a minimum of 6 consecutive days.

Note - Customers can only cross from Argentina to Foz do Iguazu, Brazil and travel no more than 50 KM into Brazil.
