The Firefly - Firefly car rental location is located out of the airport

You can arrive of Firefly - Firefly car rental by free shuttle bus.

In order to pick up your rental vehicle a courtesy bus is available from the Main Terminal Building to the Car Hire Centre and operates from Bus Stop No: 1 every 10-15 minutes. Please note that there might be a local fee (Dart charge) if you are travelling through the Darford Tunnel or over The QE2 Bridge.

Age requirements

23 - 80 years old

Young Driver Fee applies at 23 - 24 years old with charge of GBP 30.84 - 33.6 per day approximately.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1-2 year(s).

Please note that an International Driving Permit(IDP) is only a translation and you must present your original driving licence at the counter.

In addition to your licence, either a valid and up to date DVLA licence check code or a printed DVLA endorsement record must be provided for all Approved Drivers. These can be obtained from the DVLA website (www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence).

Firefly vehicles may be driven into the Republic of Ireland but not into any other country. Customers are required to notify the rental counter staff of their intention to travel into the Republic of Ireland on pickup of their rental vehicle. An additional driving abroad charge of GBP 25.00 per rental will apply. Vehicles may not be taken off the island of Ireland. Should these restrictions be ignored all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, Super Cover, PAI), if accepted, shall be deemed, null and void, also the driver will be held fully responsible in case of accidents and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.
