You can walk to the counter of Budget - Invercargill Airport car rental.

Airport Terminal Instructions COUNTER: Located in the airport terminal, to the left of the stairs. CARS: Exit through the main doors, the vehicles are located to the right across the road from the baggage claim area. RETURNS: Same as pick-up. AFTER HOURS RETURNS: Key drop facilities are available until 2000.

Drop-off Instructions

Airport Terminal - Counter Location Proceed to the Budget counter Fastbreak line/or normal line if no Fastbreak line designation/or follow directions to the Fastbreak Kiosk. Present identification and receive your rental agreement. The counter representative will give the customer the keys&directions to their car. FASTBREAK RETURN: Follow the airport signs for Car Rental return. You do not need to return to the counter to complete your rental. Record your mileage and fuel level on the rental agreement and drop it in the Budget Fastbreak return box. A closed rental agreement will be mailed to you within 48 hours.

It is your responsibility to book all vehicle and passenger ferry tickets. If you do not wish to take your rental vehicle on the ferry, you must make two separate vehicle reservations

Ferry Transportation: Allowed

Budget allows you to bring the rental vehicle on the ferry. However ferry companies may charge you to bring a vehicle across Cook Strait.
