A written permission (Overborder Letter of Authority) from Hertz is required before driving a Hertz vehicle outside of South Africa. This permission needs to be requested at least 48 hours before picking up the vehicle via https://www.hertz.co.za/cross-borders/ in order to give Hertz time to process the document and you will receive a copy, as well as a copy of the registration documents of the vehicle. Note: Toyota Quantum 10 seater is not allowed to be driven across the borders.
