Avance staff was great and they gave us a bigger car then expected

I am very pleased with the polite and professional stuff of centauro stuff of thessaloniki airport branch.

Smooth and easy booking experience.

They try to uncharge you on everything from extra driver to insurance to even how dirty the car is when you return it!! Avoid them at all costs!!!

I didn't get the Fiat 500 which i booked, instead i got a ran down Nissan Pixo..... The engine and gearbox gave the worst sounds ever, i was always afraid it's going to break down.

No sign for europcar at Airport

When ordering, I asked for pickup at Terminal. Upon Arrival (20:30) I was met by a Grental representative which drove us to the rental company which is 10 min. from terminal. on top of that I was told that because it's after 21:00 I have to pay a fine for out of hours of the office. I was never told about this when ordering although I did state the ETA of our flight. I was "upgraded" with a Fiat Tipo. It was a realy bad car and not comfortable at all. I think this is a lying company which wants to get some extra money off customers. Not going to work with them nor wiyh you in the future. shame on you.

The car was in terrible shape and need to be serviced asap! The brakes were making horrible sounds. The car was dirty and overall bad experience!

The platform was great

We had a horrible experience with Abbycar. The first car that we would get had sit belts broken so they gave us a worst and smaller car that overheated in the middle of the trip. The worst was one specific staff that was rude saying things as “shame on you”, “ I am not crazy”, “ “You are calling me a sico path”. When we were just asking regarding an extension for the drop off. This specific staff was not only rude with us but with their own staff. I will not use Abbycar again if that is the service that they are providing.

For the price really couldn’t argue, offered to upgrade to a nicer car for €6 per day but we didn’t need it. The Hyundai coupe was ample for our needs. Was a little well driven motor, but got us from a-b. I had my over excess cover, and they weren’t pushy to take their damage waiver, which was very refreshing!

I traveled a lot around the world and I rented cars about a hundred times. But I was always thinking that in the event of breakdown, I was completely protected - the company would always come to rescue the client, to replace the broken car and not to leave the client in the middle of the way. I should also note that I have above 20 years of experience in driving a car and drove a various range of cars from small cars to large jeeps and pickups. At the first glance, everything was fine: the price was excellent, they met at the airport. No complaints. And later everything became very bad. Frankly, I read many negative reviews about this company in the Internet, but specifically there were no negative reviews about the branch in Thessaloniki, google maps reviews were almost all positive. I also had a previous rental experience with this company in Cyprus, where everything was excellent and therefore I was not particularly worried. The car I got was in a rather shabby condition and had a strong smell from under the hood. Having pointed out this fact to the rental employee, I received an answer that I have nothing to fear about and everything will be all right. On the last day on the way back to the airport, the car finally broke down in the middle of the road - it stopped pulling up the hill and refused to change the gear. Everything looked like the clutch had been dead. I called the company several times and begged to solve the problem as quickly as possible since that day I had a return flight and I was hurry to the airport. The company told me that they could not guarantee that they would be able to return me to the city of Thessaloniki. After waiting on the highway for 3 hours, a tow truck arrived and took me with the broken car to the nearest service station. After that they EXTORTED me to pay 180€ for the towing !! Upon return, I discovered that the rogues from the rental office had stolen my 1000€ deposit and charged it from my credit card.

Very helpful and on the spot customer service. We attended the airport kiosk of Avance in Thessaloniki airport and as soon as the agent saw the size of our family decided to offer us a bigger car free of charge. We boarded a minibus for a 2 min drive with an excellent hire agent who explained everything in detail and was pleasant, polite and helpful throughout

Easy as usual.

The car exceeded my expectations in performance and size. The service staff had very extensive paperwork requirements, which I was prepared for. They had a poor selection of child seats, especially considering I was being charged a total of $140 Euros for their use, and were reluctant in assisting me with installing them. Additionally, they attempted to charge me for excessive cleaning, including a potential $250 Euro charge for vacuuming. I was able to clean the car manually after half an hour of elbow grease. They were very courteous and helpful otherwise, providing timely service to and from the airport, despite my error in understanding the voucher.

No issues only one things there was not English translation onto some car documents

Rather little boot space for a car of that size. Had to put the bigger bags in a second car (that we already had booked)
