This is because they have a 100 mile a day limit, after that you pay .30p per mile. They also block £1600 for car damage and fuel- my cc limit isn't that high so I had to pay a minimum of £37 to reduce it. Never had to do that with any other company, and I hire cars a lot. Also found out that the workers get commission on everything including damage to your car so they're highly motivated to charge you more in any way they can. I heard that in their training they are told- get the ones off the plane, they're too tired to make good decisions and tell them they need things they strictly don't. So terrible company, all of that really spoiled the beginning and end of an otherwise lovely day trip.
