The only presence that ACE appears to have at the airport is a crudely desiged logo printed onto an A4 sheet of paper and sellotaped to the wall behind the Goldcar desk. It was almost impossible to find. Our booking voucher asked us to join the ‘Priority Lane’ but there was none. There were 79 customers waiting in a 3 hour queue ahead of us. There was nowhere to sit and we had to leave our children on the floor with our luggage. When we did finally pick up the car, the tank wasn’t completely full, despite being on a full to full contract, but by then we were beyond caring. We nearly missed the latest check in for accommodation because of the delays.

It took 5 hours to rent the car and everything was as vague as can be. The whole process is designed to sell Insurance and upgrades. A ridiculous process which created 60 people long queues. I am sure that these rental agencies are either owned or financed by the main players like Hertz with the sole objective to drive people back to them and NEVER , EVER consider leaving again.

Àu comptoir ils font tout pour nous faire vendre une assurance. C'est de l'achat forcé. J'ai continué de refuser et ils sont devenus désagréables avec nous. Heureusement ceux qui ont fait l'état des lieux avec nous étaient très agréables. Attention ils débitent 1200€ de caution !!! Est-ce légal ?????

I didn't know that ACE was part of the Goldcar group, which I had experienced before and didn't want to experience again the booking site Easyrentcars did not show that I thought that ACE was a totally different car rental company, but then it works the same as Goldcar, a low cost company which I personnally will not recommend or use again for my needs
