“Worst car rental experience ever, downgraded vehicle and unauthorized charges after returning home!”
About Maggiore:2.0/10
Deceptive practices, renting out a sedan as an SUV, pretending not to understand English! No service and awful attitude! Will never rent from this company again! Unauthorized charges! No guidance on how to pick up or exchange the car, had to figure it all out on my own, even asked other rental companies about how to operate the car. Most frustrating rental experience! They told me to go to another branch to exchange the car, which was a complete scam! Went to Florence to change the car, wasted time and fuel, and there were no cars available! Everything seemed fine upon return, but the moment I arrived back home, I got a message about a charge! Where can I even complain about this? First time encountering such a predatory charge!
I changed the order time and communicated with the rental car customer service promptly. The customer service confirmed they had communicated with the local car rental company. However, when I arrived at the pickup location, I was informed that I couldn't continue with the original order and had to accept a new one.
“Overall smooth except the many issues after car return.”

Maggiore charged my credit card a month after claiming there was a scratch on the car. Then, they charged me again six months later and could not provide any proof when I contacted them.
About QEEQ:9.0/10
Price protector is good. should allow users to rate after sales or claims experience.
Due to a flight delay, I couldn't pick up the car on the same day. Despite communicating with QEEQ to reserve the car, I still got a smaller car the next day. The space was very cramped throughout the trip, and it was hard to fit all the luggage.
Terrible, this is the worst rental experience I've had abroad! Booked a BMW 2 Series, got a 1 Series instead. The car size and trunk capacity are completely different, leaving us with no space for our luggage. Their attitude was horrible, claiming they don’t have BMW 2 Series! They demanded 650 euros to switch to a Ford of the same size! It's just a scam! Downgrade the car and then charge extra. Two months after we got back, we were charged over 200 euros again. After multiple communications via the rental platform, they claimed it was for insurance. We had bought full insurance through the rental platform and explicitly declined insurance at pickup, signing no documents. They charged us on the last day before the credit card guarantee expired. Absolutely shameless and garbage service!
The rental process is straightforward, and the prices are much more competitive compared to other companies for similar vehicles. The car's performance is also very good.
We were given a car with a flat tire. Tire pressure light immediately came out 15 km after we left. We filled up the tire each morning for 3 days until it got really bad. Brought it to the Verona airport to exchange cars and they insisted the tire wasn’t flat. I told them I just filled it up 10 minutes ago so we could get there. They then charged us for another whole rental which cost more for 3 days than the original charge of a car for 7 days. I paid for two car rentals. I tried to have them think logically saying why would I drive out of the way while on vacation to exchange a car for the same thing or lesser if there wasn’t a problem. Sure enough as they argued you could see the tire got flat. They never even apologized. It was an extremely unpleasant experience

About Maggiore:8.0/10
The office is located in the farthest room, probably because its market share isn't high enough. Attitude was okay, and after completing the paperwork, the staff guided us part of the way since we didn't understand the directions to the car. He mentioned that we could return the car without a full tank and that their fuel price was cheaper than gas stations, which wasn’t entirely true. Maybe it’s a little cheaper than the stations near the airport, but I’d recommend filling up before getting to the airport. Diesel in rural areas was only about 1.26 euros per liter. The car was in great condition, a Fiat 500L, which can actually fit four people and two large pieces of luggage.
Terrible service, constant extra charges, always pushing insurance. They gave me a car with scratches and claimed I caused the damage, charging me over 400 euros. I rented the car in August and the rental company is still charging my credit card monthly, 42 euros each time. I had to freeze my card today, it's terrifying.
The staff was enthusiastic and patient. Our English was not very good, and they spoke in a very Italian way. But they were very patient and even wrote things down for us. The Milan airport return station is staffed 24 hours, unlike Hertz, which was closed when we went there early at 6 AM.
Maggiore's pick-up point at Malpensa T1 is very convenient. Take the elevator down from gate 5 on the arrivals level and follow the car hire signs. All car rental companies are located there. Once the paperwork is done, you can directly go to parking lot B without leaving the building to get your car.
Extremely efficient and professional. The rental agreement clearly detailed the two minor scratches on the vehicle. You have the option to choose between full-to-full and Relax plans. We chose the latter, paid 90 euros for the fuel, which is about the same as filling up at an outside gas station! Great experience, it would be even better if they didn't require a credit card guarantee like Goldcar used to!
The staff had a lazy attitude. When we arrived 20 minutes early to pick up the car at Milan Central Station, the staff made us wait the full 20 minutes before processing our rental, saying we could not get the car early. The paperwork itself took another 20 minutes. When it was finally time to process our rental, the staff said they needed to go to the bathroom and closed the office for a while. It took over an hour to get the car. When returning the car at Milan Airport, we had just filled the tank, but the staff insisted it was not full and charged us an extra 43 euros. It seemed like a deliberate scam, and they made me pay in cash at another location. After searching twice and not finding it, I got angry, and only then did the staff take me to the payment location.
