Rented a POLO, but got a similar model from another European brand. The trunk can hold three suitcases. It's a compact SUV, comfortable enough for four people.
The service attitude was poor. The office was very small, and they made customers wait in a dimly lit parking lot outside. They secretly added insurance without explanation, which is very unpleasant.
The location was easy to find and there were no lines, which was acceptable. However, my English is not good so I bought the super insurance on Zuzuche and had already paid for it. When we arrived, they handed us a paper and spoke quickly, so the three of us thought it was just the deposit and signed. Later, they gave us another paper indicating the deposit. I immediately called customer service, but the rental company's attitude was very bad, and they said they couldn't refund. They also explained that they don't recognize insurance purchased online.
I had purchased relevant vehicle insurance when placing the order. The Rome counter did not accept my driver’s license translation certified by the Italian Embassy and forced me to buy an additional 200 euros of full insurance or else they wouldn’t give me the car. The process was slow and seriously affected my itinerary.
The staff at this car rental company were really unsatisfactory. Because I am under 24 years old, I was required to purchase the young driver risk fee, which is understandable. However, when they were preparing the paperwork, they added insurance like 'Major Traffic Liability Insurance' without my consent. They tried to deceive us, claiming that because I was under 24, I also needed to buy this insurance. They even told us to ask other rental companies if we didn't believe them and were extremely impatient. During this time, I called the rental platform three times; the first two times, they said to follow the car rental company's rules, but the last time, a staff member proactively helped us contact the rental company by phone. In fact, the platform's staff were also quite unprofessional.
The car pickup process was extremely slow, taking nearly an hour, and required two credit cards for the guarantee! The staff were busy chatting amongst themselves, and the car had several large and long scratches which they didn’t document. I had to note them down myself and get their signature. The in-car GPS had no maps and was unusable. After negotiation, they provided an old Garmin GPS which was very slow.
