Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 3 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Finland, Liechtenstein, United Kingdom, Ireland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, The Republic of San Marino

If you are EU resident and drive a vehicle with Swiss registration and number plate, you are only allowed to drive the vehicle for 8 consecutive days outside of in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. You must not take the vehicle into the EU for more than 8 consecutive days, except for the purpose of directly returning to your place of residence in the EU, which must be stated on your rental agreement

The staff had a great attitude. Our English is average, but they patiently explained all the important points to us. The car was in good condition. However, the time taken to freeze the money on my credit card was a bit long. They said it would take 1-2 working days, but it took longer. I hope they can improve on this.

Received inexplicable charges from the rental company a month and a half after returning the car. Despite repeatedly asking for a detailed billing statement and scanned copies of fines from QEEQ and AVIS, I haven't received a clear response.

The female service agent's English accent was very hard to understand. The pickup location was a bit far from the counter and the road was under construction, making it one-way. However, the car pickup was overall smooth. Returning the car in Hamburg was very easy; just follow the airport signs. The drop-off location is a centralized outsourced area. The staff checked the car thoroughly and printed the receipt quickly since the car had no damage.
