Vehicles are not allowed to be brought to the Canary Islands. If you plan to cross borders to other countries, EMS service is mandatory to add, priced at around 12EUR per day and maximum 156EUR. Please consult the staff at the counter for details.

You may drive the rented vehicle outside the Spanish mainland and in the countries described below once the EMS is added and must be done upon pick up. Terrible experience. I picked up the car in Seville and returned it at Malaga airport, and was scammed out of 30 euros. The return location at Malaga airport was inconsistent with the address in the manual provided by Europcar. The manual directed me to a private rental car street where I couldn't find Europcar. After asking several people, I finally found it in an underground parking lot, but nobody told me it was on level -2. It was extremely difficult to find and I wasted 45 minutes. They charged me an extra 30 euros because the gas tank was not completely full, even though I had refueled just before returning the car. The agent claimed I needed to pay 30 euros for almost half a tank or go out and refuel again! I had already spent a long time trying to find the return point and didn't have time to refuel, so I paid the 30 euros, almost missing my flight. It was an outrageous scam seeing me in a hurry. Because I had purchased full insurance, they couldn't find any other issues and just scammed me for the fuel. The manual they provided had the wrong return location and did not mention it was at level -2 in the airport parking lot. Awful European company! When picking up the car, they tried to sell me an upgrade, giving me a car with a very small trunk that could barely fit a 26-inch suitcase. They insisted on charging extra for a larger car and pushed additional insurance and GPS, even though I had already bought full insurance. They really just scam Asians!

Located on the second floor of the train station, it's easy to find. The car pickup is quick and self-service to the parking lot, with staff assistance and enthusiastic service. Returns are also at the train station. You can find clear Europcar locations at almost every train station and airport.

Basically satisfied, but it took a long time to find the location. I thought the store was in the parking lot, but it was inside the train station. They open quite late, and the free additional driver I booked was not acknowledged, they charged 10 euros. The car's condition was okay, but there were many scratches, which made me worry about disputes when returning the car. Luckily, there were none, which I guess they were aware of. The fuel was already full when picked up, and they didn't ask if we needed it. There was still quite a bit of fuel left when we returned it, which was a pity, but it saved us the trouble of refueling. They didn't check the notarized document, just looked at the driver's license and asked me to write down my address.

The staff can speak English. When picking up the car, they only checked the order, passport, and driver's license without looking at the notarized documents. The car provided as per the order was very new, with only about 400 kilometers on it. Returning the car was also very convenient.

The service from such a big company is poor, with a terrible attitude. They gave us the wrong car model without any apology throughout the process. Although it was eventually resolved, it delayed us by two hours and required three trips back and forth. We had to unload and reload the luggage, which was very inconvenient.

I chose a Volkswagen Passat on the app, but ended up with an Alfa Romeo Giulia. The difference is quite significant. Maybe in Europe, the Giulia and Passat are in the same category, but not here. We had tried the Passat's trunk beforehand and it could fit at least two large suitcases, but when we picked up the car in Spain, the Giulia could only fit one large suitcase. We had to find a way to fit the remaining two in the back seats. Also, the parking lot exit gate at the pickup location was confusing, it took us a while to figure out how to get out, not as convenient as back home. Returning the car was fast and easy. We didn’t damage the car, took good care of it, and got no fines.

I want to highlight this issue: I reserved an automatic car, but when I arrived at the store they told me only manual cars were available. Fortunately, I can drive a manual, otherwise, my trip would have been ruined! Driving a manual car on European hills is extremely dangerous!! The language barrier added to the frustration as the store didn't offer a partial refund. It took two months to resolve it through the app after returning home!! If I had known this would happen, why would I book so early? I had already paid in full, and they didn't reserve the car for me! It's really poor service.

When we arrived, we were told that the reserved car model was unavailable, and they offered to upgrade to an Audi for an extra charge. After declining, we received a Chery DR, which was not among the models we had booked. It was quite large, electric, and lacked navigation. Considering our travel plans, we eventually went back to the store to pay extra for a different car.
