It'd be better to inform earlier that no drop off point in gatwick airport North terminal. We already went there and have to return to South terminal to return the car.

After droo off I realize I have my mobile phone mount/holder left in the car. No one from Europcar kind enough to inform me to pick up the item.

The booking experience was quite smooth, the only things is to be the prices can be a little more competitive but that can also be related to the time when we initialise our booking. So all positive

She provided excellent customer service and made the whole process very smooth and easy.

They didn't have any SUVs in, so had to make do with what they did have (a skoda!). Was offered a number of upgrades for a cost, which I thought awfully kind of them. They seemed genuinely surprised when I suggested that I should be getting a free upgrade given that they didn't have the car I booked available.
Picking up the car was okay, but returning it was a nightmare. We arrived more than an hour in advance, but the return shop was closed with no staff around, even though the listed return location claimed to be open 24 hours. We were not informed about how to return the car or where to park it. After calling customer service and going through extensive communication, we were told it might be a self-service return. We eventually asked someone and located the parking area, then dropped the keys into the rental company's key box at the back door. Upon returning home, I found that more than 2000 was held on my rental card, but only 189 was refunded. When I inquired with customer service, they gave vague answers and mentioned it was a late return fee. I was completely at a loss. There was no late return, and even if there was, charging over 2000 is unreasonable.
I arrived an hour after the time indicated. The person at the counter told me I would need to wait an additional 30 mins, because I was late. This didn't make a huge amount of sense to me as they didn't appear to be busy... Also, she clearly had all my details already but insisted on typing them all into her own system again.
The car was fine. Ok condition but smelled too strongly of air freshener.
Staff seemed to treat us horribly because we used this service. I had paid for full coverage through EasyRentCars but then they were trying to sell more insurance and made a big thing that I would need to cover costs and have a legal battle with EasyRentCars to get the coverage. I rented an SUV and they said they had a Seat SUV, but made us wait a long time to sort the booking and then turned up with a Vauxhall van with no explanation. Then they made excuses that they are free to replace the SUV with a van, the original lady went on a break and upon returning was surprised to see us there still (with our 5 month old baby). When I enquired about the original SUV she made the excuse that it was suddenly off to service. They really treated us horribly.
Like: The vehicle was great! It was just what we needed for 5 adults with luggage on a week exploring the UK. Dislike: Picking the vehicle up seemed to take a very long time. Being a warm day, the other 3 adults came into the waiting room with their luggage and the lady doing our paperwork realised they were with us and said she had been going to give us a different (smaller) car but when she saw the others and their luggage, she gave us the car we had booked. I thought this was a little odd - there was a reason we had booked a large vehicle, but we were glad the others came in when they did so we didn't have to come back and do it all again!
We had to drop the vehicle back after hours and had been told to drop the key in a certain place in the terminal, however the terminal had also closed and a security guard told us he was to take the key. We haven't heard anything back, so assume the key got back to the right people in the end.
I booked Passat or similar and Europcar was trying to give me a compact car (Volvo V40), claiming that they don't have anything bigger. After my complains, they offered me Peugeot 3008, which was still way smaller than Passat, but we fit our luggage there (carrying one of the bags on the back seat).
I hate when companies offer something which they cannot provide. I booked my trip ~1 month in advance, so they had enough time to prepare themselves.
On a good side: the car I got was almost brand new - just 300 miles on its meter and it was very well equipped.

1) I DID NOT GET THE CAR THAT I BOOKED OR SIMILAR
2) THE GUY SERVING AT THE DESK WAS VERY VERY RUDE, NO MANNERS, HAD NO TIME TO ANSWER QUESTIONS, IT WAS AS IF HE WAS WAITING TO CATCH A FLIGHT. THE CAR THEY GAVE WAS NOT ADEQUATE.
3) I WILL NOT BE USING GREEN MOTION EVER AGAIN. PERIOD.
4) I SHOULD GET FULL REFUND AND COMPENSATION
5) THE GUY SERVING AT THE COUNTER NEEDS LEARN TO LEAVE HIS PROBLEMS AT HOME

Due to a flight delay of over an hour, we arrived at 10:30 PM. Hertz said someone would be at the counter, but there was no one there. European Car next door told us to come back the next day. We tried calling the rental service but got no answer. The next day, Hertz said the reservation had been canceled and no car was reserved for us. The rental service has yet to refund our deposit! Very dissatisfied! I will not recommend this rental service or Hertz to friends!
