The car pickup was very convenient, located just across from the exit of Buffalo Airport. The service was excellent, and the pickup process was very quick. Returning the car was also straightforward; you simply drive to the parking area on the basement level. Since the parking attendant had already left, I parked the car and handed the keys to the front desk on the first floor, where there's always likely to be someone. The staff just asked a few questions about the car’s condition and fuel level, and it was done. It felt great!
Excellent! Because the reserved model was not available, the company upgraded me to a 2013 Ford Escape for free. I accidentally left my camera in the car when returning it and called the company to ask if they could find it. They were very cooperative, found my camera, and even arranged to have it sent to me by courier. This truly reflects their customer-first service philosophy.
This is a very friendly company. Our group had to delay picking up the car by one day due to a flight cancellation. QEEQ customer service contacted AVIS for us and allowed the delay. It was great and reduced our losses.
The service attitude was good, the procedures were simple, and the vehicle was in normal condition. There were many renters, and the queue time was long. We arrived about an hour later than our scheduled pickup time, and the reserved car was no longer available. They didn't tell us at first and asked us to wait for 20 minutes. After waiting for half an hour and inquiring multiple times, they finally informed us of the situation. This delayed our trip. If we had known earlier, we could have changed the car model sooner. We were dissatisfied with the return billing method. We only used the car for one day and didn’t drive much. To save trouble, we didn't fill up the tank and planned to be billed by mileage for the fuel. However, Hertz estimated based on the tank usage. The tank wasn’t full when we picked up the car, and we ended up paying more. We believe that billing by mileage would be fairer.
The service was very poor. I had booked a comprehensive insurance in China which covered everything, so no additional fees were supposed to be charged, except a $100 deposit taken at the time of paperwork. However, when returning the car, the rental company mentioned there was a change in settings. I kept insisting that nothing had changed, and they suspected it might be related to the GPS. I showed them the Chinese GPS device I brought from home, and they immediately said there was no problem and that the $100 would be refunded soon, with no additional charges. However, due to the lengthy argument, I missed my flight by 10 minutes. After returning to China, I noticed a charge of $17.83 on September 06, 2015, which I suspect might be for toll fees or something else.
The staff at the store were very unprofessional and unhelpful, which was due to the inconsistency between the rental information on the Zūchēché system and AVIS's system. Specifically, I selected full insurance coverage when booking on the Zūchēché website, but the receipt printed by AVIS did not include any insurance. This could easily lead to disputes.
