We didn't know about the watermark until the return inspection. If we had caused it, we would have dealt with it before returning the car. Since we didn't photograph the interior before renting (and the rental company also had no evidence that the watermark wasn't already there), we were charged 90 euros. Initially, an employee asked for 140 euros, but after arguing, another person reduced it to 90 euros. As we were rushing to catch a flight, we had no choice but to pay.
