You could return the deposit (excess) quicker than one month. I pre-paid $200 (car and insurance) then you took another $400 off me ... which I was told will take a month to get back to me. This is unacceptable - you are fast to take and slow to return. Just not good enough, Europcar and Easyrentcars.
When returning the car, over 1,000 THB was unexpectedly charged to my credit card. The reason provided by customer service was that I had used the M Flow lane, which has a toll fee of 60 THB. However, the platform deducted a service fee from my credit card that was over 10 times the toll fee—more than 900 THB in total, resulting in a charge of over 1,000 THB. There was absolutely no prior notification about this lane, either in written or verbal form, before or after I used the car. I can accept the 60 THB toll fee, but where did the extra 900 THB service fee come from? I contacted customer service, but it’s been over a week and still no response. Additionally, the car I booked was in average condition with over 70,000 kilometers on it. The car system didn’t have Bluetooth, so I couldn’t even play music—only CDs and FM radio were available. I booked a two-door Yaris hatchback, but what I received was actually a Yaris sedan.
I had been following this rental car company for a while, thinking I had found a good platform for overseas car rentals. I had rented cars through apps abroad before, but this was the worst service experience I've encountered. I forgot about my reservation on the rental day, and nobody contacted me the entire day. When I finally remembered around the return time and called customer service, they told me to contact the store. The store then told me to contact customer service. Ultimately, neither took responsibility, and they said they had no obligation to remind me about the reservation. This was just a case where I paid but didn't pick up the car. I can't imagine what would happen if there were an accident or collision in a foreign country where I'm unfamiliar with the surroundings. With this kind of problem-solving attitude and approach from the rental company, what could I do? I decided to just consider it a loss and uninstalled the rental app. I advise everyone to use a reliable platform for overseas rentals to avoid finding yourself in a situation with no one to help in case of an emergency.
Accused me of causing vehicle damage and deducted money without listening to my explanation, with a very bad attitude!
