We reserved a mid-to-large size SUV, either a Jeep Grand Cherokee or similar, but only a Jeep Compass and Ford Edge were available. They downgraded us without a price reduction and promoted many extras like upgrades, GPS, and insurance.

I booked a Grand Cherokee or a similar large SUV, but ended up with a relatively new Nissan X-Trail. The Alamo staff didn't allow us to use the parked cars because they were considered a different class. Haha... Anyway, the X-Trail I got was quite new and in good condition, but it felt underpowered in the US.
