As expected, highly recommend full insurance, but it can be declined.
Had a flat tire during the trip, and the company refused to provide any assistance.
They force you to buy their insurance; otherwise, they charge a deposit of almost $3000 (and they don’t accept UnionPay). But if you agree to buy the insurance, they accept all cards. Hertz doesn't have this issue in other countries.
After my flight was delayed, I went to the store to pick up the car only to be told that there were no cars available. The worst part is that they charged the full rental fee and didn't refund it.
They aggressively pushed insurance and pretended my card had insufficient funds when the first transaction failed. I had to argue strongly to avoid adding insurance.
