The service attitude of Hertz car rental company was generally good. The staff were friendly and professional, and both the pickup and return processes were smooth. Additionally, there was no waiting in line for this rental, making the experience very efficient! Overall, the service and efficiency were quite satisfactory!
Not bad, but it seems unreasonable for customers to bear extra costs just because the car model was upgraded to a larger one (the rental company claimed that the compact option was only a small electric car. Considering the inconvenience of charging and my unfamiliarity with it, I did not agree).
When returning the car, no one inspected its condition. They just said to leave the keys. Later in the evening, I received a message claiming there were scratches and they would deduct 630 euros. When I got out of the car to grab my luggage, I didn’t see any scratches on the bumper. This issue is really hard to argue about. Besides, replacing a bumper shouldn’t cost 630 euros, and from the photo, it looks like it could be polished clean.
The service was quite good. Due to personal reasons, I arrived at the store late and couldn't get the reserved car model. I paid a bit extra and switched to a top-spec 3 Series, which was also nice.
Overall, it's great. The highlight is that you can choose your own car. All the cars of the same type have their trunks open and keys inside the car—just pick one and drive off.
