Rude attitude

I used Hertz in Melbourne and Europcar in Sydney, and the difference was huge. Hertz gave me a free upgrade, while Europcar downgraded my car. The vehicle was in poor condition, and they pushed insurance on me. I had booked an Outlander but got a mini version instead. I'll stick with big companies in the future (the heavy Indian accent was also hard to understand).

Your site said a Rav4 or similar but the booking went through as a smaller ASX. Barely got the luggage in. The info that you sent to Europcar was for a certain size/class of vehicle and the Rav4 in in the next size/class up.. Sadly this is why I couldn't give you 5 stars. Everything else was spot on.

No matter how careful you are, there's always some kind of fees to be charged and they never tell you this, e.g. premium location charge, which was never mentioned to me neither when I booked the vehicle nor when I met the counter staff to collect the car.

I opted to change the drop off location in Melbourne and after a quick phone call was able to a closer depot and return the car.
