I booked through an agent but picked up the car at Europcar. Although I specified in advance that I needed a 7-seater, it seemed like there was poor communication between the service provider and Europcar. When I arrived, they only had a 5-seater available, and I had to pay extra to upgrade to the only 7-seater, a brand-new Multivan. The staff at the store were chatting away, probably because it was close to Christmas, and they didn't attend to us while we were waiting.
Upon arrival, we were informed that the car we booked online was unavailable. We had to pay extra for a higher-end vehicle and were repeatedly offered more expensive cars.
The overall service was fine, but we only got a Volkswagen Golf, which was a bit disappointing and felt like a loss. I don't recommend renting from EUROPE in Ulm.
