When I picked up the car from the rental company, it only had enough fuel for 65 kilometers. When I returned it, it still had enough fuel for 500 kilometers, but they didn't offer any refund for the extra fuel like before.
Very satisfied. During our trip, a nail punctured the rear tire. Following the procedure, the staff quickly refunded the repair costs when we returned the car.
The service was not as bad as I expected. In fact, the pickup process was smooth. The staff were very patient and accommodating despite the language barrier. They thoroughly checked the vehicle for damages, even spots my husband missed! However, when returning the car, we couldn't enter the parking lot without a card, which took some time to resolve. I recommend getting to the airport early!
We forgot to ask if it was HGS or OGS when picking up the car. Later, we were told the car had HGS, and we needed to buy a package for 20 Euros to use it. We bargained it down to 50 Lira, about 75 RMB, as we only used it for a small segment from Ephesus to Izmir and from Pamukkale to Ephesus. Others in our group paid around 30 Lira, and they were charged only for the actual usage of the toll roads.
Additionally, a 700 Lira pre-authorization was placed after returning the car. Just yesterday, I noticed a 1 Lira charge, and I'm not sure why.
