The staff at Launceston Airport were terrible. They didn't provide the Toyota RAV4 I reserved and downgraded me to a Corolla without indicating a price adjustment. There were two of us, and they upgraded us to a three-row, seven-seater SUV, claiming it was a five-seater and not too big, obviously just trying to fob us off. We started the process at 5 PM, and by past 7 PM, after numerous negotiations through our rental company, the staff eventually said there were no Corollas or any small cars left, only this large SUV, take it or leave it. It was clearly unreasonable and abusive.
As Easyrent is a different company the Europcar found it difficult to access the booking information and had to add the second driver information manually, which took a little time. Not sure if this is a common problem or not?
We got a Kia Rio instead of the Accent. That was fine by us. The only issue was sometimes the streets of lauceston and surrounds were steep, and with four adults and heavy luggage, the car had difficulty going up the hills. Apart from that, everything was great.
