I chose not to pick up the car at the San Francisco airport, but rather at a location 10km south of the airport because I had friends showing me around the city for the first few days and didn’t need a rental car. Later on, I picked it up from a store near my friend's place. The store only had about 20 cars. This car category is different from what I'm used to back home. I initially opted for a Grand Cherokee, but they didn’t have that model. The staff told me that everyone loves the Grand Cherokee, so it's always unavailable. They recommended a 2.4L Chevrolet, but I didn't like it. Upon inspecting the vehicle, I found that the front cigarette lighter charger wasn’t working, so I reported it and requested a different car. The store was very accommodating and gave me a Lexus RX350 from the parking lot and asked me to wait while they cleaned it. The Lexus felt amazing to drive, with adequate power, great sound system, and excellent handling! I had a very pleasant 10-day trip! The rental platform didn’t have the Lexus as an option, but the store upgraded me for free, which was very satisfying!
The booked model did not match the actual model. I booked a 7-seater but got a 6-seater, and there were no other options. However, I was charged the 7-seater price.
