There was huge queue when we arrived. However i could pick up the car by the time of my luggage came out. When we drop off the keys, also there was huge queue. Drop off box was on the counter so no problem.
The vehicle was new and the interior was relatively clean. Picking up and dropping off the car took no more than 10 minutes. However, the 100km/day limit is only enough for meetings in Uluru, and doesn't allow for trips to other places like Kata Tjuta.
Picking up and dropping off the car was very smooth. Driving within the national park was very convenient and free. However, be sure to check if the pre-authorization is refunded. In my case, the pre-authorization was wrongly charged despite paying the full rental amount upfront. It was only resolved after QEEQ customer service rechecked it. The car's condition was average; the backup camera was broken, and the car had several damages when picked up. Make sure to record a video!
The rental cost is too high and not worth it at all. There is a 100 km limit per day, and the rental fee is over 1500 RMB per day. A huge ripoff. Don't even bother going to Uluru; it's just a big rock and not worth visiting.
QEEQ offered unlimited mileage for out Uluru tour, which is very rare in the market. Their response to my enquiries was really quick. Price is also reasonably affordable.
“It was a little difficult for me to communicate with the staff because my English is not so good .”
About Thrifty:9.0/10
The staff member who took care of me was really nice, but I had some difficulty in understanding her explanation. If you had the explanation written in Japanese, it would be easier.
Hertz truly lives up to its reputation as a leading car rental company. The service was excellent. We picked up the car at Uluru Airport, with the counter located right next to the baggage claim area in the terminal. Though there were multiple rental counters, the queue for Hertz was the longest. There were three staff members handling the rentals, and the process was quite fast. A handsome young man helped us with the paperwork, and within no time, we had signed the contract and received the keys.
We were involved in an accident, so upon returning the car, we asked for an inspection. Coincidentally, it was the same guy who had assisted us during pickup. He inquired about the accident, took photos of the damaged areas, and upon learning that we had insurance, reassured us not to worry. He logged the damage in the system, and that was it.
