Overall a great experience - very quick at the desk, no hard sell to upgrade anything, simple return, no issues.
Car was a bit tired (70,000km), but for the price paid I was more than happy.

Great experience from start to finish - wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
The shuttle came right as we were getting to the pick up location and it was a short drive and easy check in process. We added a day last minute and then didn’t need it but still had to pay (understandable but wish they would have made that clear when we added on). Return was quick and easy as well.

The Customer service rep I met at pick up told me better get the extra insurance because the way this company works, even the tiniest thing will be charged and better to just get the extra cover so I did. I paid extra for the premium insurance. I was told it was ‘mega relax’ and that the only time I would be charged for anything on return of the vehicle was if I refilled it with the wrong type of fuel or broke the law ie speeding.
Returned the vehicle with breadcrumbs, dust and some paper rubbish got charged a 50 euro special cleaning fee. The photos attached to the settlement statement prove exactly this. It was a 10 day hire, of course there is going to be some dust and debris inside in reasonable use. I contacted customer services but the response was, “it’s a valid charge.” Absolutely ridiculous. It could have been vacuumed up in 2 minutes! I would have done it myself if I’d had any idea there would be a charge! Last time I hired a vehicle from Hertz it was returned with far more dirt and dust inside and they didn’t charge a cent.
I will certainly never use Goldcar again and I’m appalled that this is how Goldcar operates.

Took FOUR HOURS too pick up the car.
1 hour line to catch the shuttle to the offsite location
3 hours line at the counter to pick up the car, due to extremely high demand and poor pre-check process
Worst experience in the past 10 years.
I was refused to pay by debit card and given no option but to buy again the insurance at double the price I already paid online- €15/day because I didn't have a credit card. Charged an out of hours fee for dropping off the car before 8:00. Pushed into hiring a tag for motorway at €1.85/day when I had to pay the tolls anyway and could have done without it as you could pay with cash or card at pay points.
I felt bullied and ripped off.
Only had a Toyota Aygo with no cruise control, no parking sensors no key remote lock, but I paid the price for a large premium car.
Never ever will use this company nor reccomend to anyone.

1) Le loueur prétendait se situer sur le parking de l'aéroport alors qu'il organisait en réalité un service de navettes pour se rendre à son bureau et récupérer le véhicule.
2) Le loueur a prétexté la mention "débit" (qui signifie simplement "débit immédiat") sur ma carte de crédit Visa pour m'obliger à lui payer une assurance supplémentaire, alors que j'avais déjà souscrit toutes les assurances nécessaires via EasyRentCars. L'arnaque était apparemment bien rodée.
3) le personnel était profondément désagréable.
The car was very basic. Collection was long, we had to pay for a toll road box in the car and they held my credt card details incase there was any damage they could take up to €1500 which was a worry as my card was empty for my holiday. Also we took out insurance with another company which they told us was not really the right thing to do. The car had alot of marks and scratches and we was told we will be charged for any imperfection no matter how small. On the third day the engine management light, anti skid break and exclamation warning lights all came on. I contacted them and emailed images they said 'oh don't worry as the lights are yellow its ok if they change to red then they will collect it and we will have to go to the office by taxi and get another car" so it was a worry to be driving it with all the lights on. The whole experience was not nice, I would never use this company again.

Two and a half hours at check in, every panel and wheel was scratched or even dented the windscreen had stone chips plus a crack and the wiper blades terribly worn to the point where it was dangerous....seats and mats stained and the car was dirty. This was supposed to be a premium convertible but the reality was the car was tired and the few staff that were there were overworked!
We booked with Centauro because the ratings were pretty good, but our pickup experience was terrible. Be aware that the location is off-site and farther than the other rental car companies. The conditions of the pick-up building were very sparse (no soap in the bathroom, for instance) and we were given an extremely beat up vehicle. We were worried about having issues with all the existing scratches when we returned the car, but thankfully my husband took pictures of the pre-existing damage and we were able to return the car without issue. Also be aware that you will be charged over 1,000 euros as a deposit if you decline their coverage.

I was charged 40€ fee for pick-up. The office is open untill 11pm, I was at the desk at 10:55. Turned out I had to move to the external desk already. Walk is ~5m, got there at 11.02pm and printed the "line ticket". Got charged 40€ for being 2minutes late, even though I got to the airport desk on time. Staff was not helpful. Really dissapointed at the counter service. Additional mandatory charge of 3€ per day for a higway toll device - should be included in the car price since mandatory and known from the beginning. Overal, really disappointed.

Expensive further insurance costs. Charged for bringing the vehicle back before 8am even though 7 staff on site. Dropped vehicle at 7.30 am charged 30 euros for the half hour difference

Excellent service both at arrival and drop off. the only reason not 5* is the short distance to collect the van, which meant my large group had to wait at the airport for me.
Terrible service and will not be booking with them again. We arrived around 11pm and it took nearly 1.5 hours to be served, we had a 2 year old who had to wait there whilst he was really tired. I do not expect to have service like this.
