We were initially given a mini car and had to push to get the car we booked. We were initially charged a full to full fuel fee, which we had to argue wasn't in our contract. We felt they were being underhand to try to get more money from us.
Terrible, people waiting 2-3 hours to collect there hire car. Unhelpful staff and no organisation at the collection location.
Worst hire experience ever!
The rental company's staff tried to trick us initially, saying our credit card didn't go through and that we had to pay cash, which required purchasing their extra insurance for 178 euros. When our card went through, they got angry and refused to rent us the car. These foreigners are really good at fooling people. Be extra cautious and don't fall for their tricks. Very dissatisfied with this rental company, Europcar.
Very bad experience when contacting the counter at the airport. The couple in front of me had the same experience. The woman at the counter even tried to stop us talking to eachother. My papers said: Amount payable at pickup 0€. They charged me, with an unfriendly attitude, extra 28€ in local taxes (they said). They then want me to get an extra inssurance at 190€ (the carrental was 70€ for 1 week). When i said no, they want me to sign some very small written letters legal papers saying i was resposible for everything and the chaged med 1400€ on my credit card.
When i recieved my "Alpha Romeo" i thought i had rented i recieved a very bashed VW Golf with very low engine power. It took me some while to inspect the car because it had so many bashes. I found two new ones wich had not been recorded. On my holliday I dreamed of how i would come back and they would find something i missed and then charge me MAX. I considered not using the car on the trip or rent another one because it was too risky to use it. A very bad experience. Everything went well though, but i can still sweat thinking of the bill if i had made even the smallest mistake in the trafic.
Appalling check in process; customers waiting ages on keys. No idea of condition of vehicle, collecting in the dark so photos not possible. On drop off tried to claim I was responsible for scrapes as nothing on the sheet.
The engine was 1.3 too small for driving on steepy roads we didn’t feel safe
We spend nearly an hour at the counter as I wasn’t expecting full to empty policy on fuel and a large deposit of £1200 for such a small car plus non refundable charge of £26 . at the end the car costs me £70 for a rubbish car
We did not use it around only driving from/to the airport. The staff at the counter was rude and not helpful

The counter staff at the airport spent almost 15 mins PER client, trying to sell them insurance! The staff were so rude that two couples ended up tearing up their booking and instead got a taxi! Then they added on 73 euros for fuel, a deposit of nearly 1200 euros (for a small car) and when we said that was not in our Tcs and Cs, they became aggressive and said we do not have a contract with you, take that up with the broker, they have nothing to do with us! Everyone in the BIG queue (because they were so busy insisting people did not have the right insurance and they needed to buy theirs!) was complaining about the hidden costs and the rudeness of the staff, in particular the Supervisor. I asked for a complaint form and they would not let me leave the window to fill it in! NEVER AGAIN WITH THESE COWBOYS!
Pick up point was very difficult to find, several other customers for Budget just standing around waiting in random spots - bus didn’t have a Budget logo on it. Office didn’t respond to phone calls after landing to help us find the bus stop.
Once on the bus (after 65 minutes) the process was as easy as with other car rental firms
Fairly long wait for pick up. Was told when booking online I had paid in full and would pay nothing at pick up. When picking the car up I was required to pay an additional 23€ tax and an 800€ deposit.

There are quite a lot of people renting cars at the airport from various companies. We queued for a bit and got the car one hour later than the scheduled time.
Good evening, i Made a reservation with you for a car to Tenerife sud for 15 day s.
From the confirm that i receive i had a car with Full insurance, and full fuel that i should have to Bring back full, but When i arrived to the agency, After 1 hour that i try to call and looking for the place where they should pick-up us, they told me that i have to pay € 50 for fuel and the guy Was very unprofessional and really rude.
And then he told me that When i’ll bring back the car the re is the risk that they’ll not give me the deposit back, because his collegue is really strict. It look likes a threat.
I can’t understand what Kind of service you sale. I sue to travel From 25 years also for job, and never ever i had a similar experience. I asked have an explanation about this situation. I pik up the car only because it Was late and i don’t have any chance to go back to the airport. In different case i didn’t pick-up the car and I’ll choose for another car rental. I don’ t want spend my time for bed service and bed person. It’s my holiday and I payed for have a good time here.
And actually , at the moment I didn’t have my deposit back yet.

They heat people. They charged my credit card unrightfully. First they charged my card without any information and when I figured out they said that the reason was "extra days". When I proofed they were wrong they gave back part of that money and said that another part of that charge is because "changing reservation". That is also not true. They didn't have car which I booked and which they had confirmed. They try to cheat me saying that it's because I picked up car 1 hour later than I had declared and information about charge for changing reservation is part of T&C. I've send they part of T&C where is information that they should hold booked car to the end of the day. I'm asking what's wrong with that company? If they try to cheat everyone clients? I demand they give me back money that they charged unrightfully but they stop answer.
They said that that they gave me BB category instead of A and that's way I need to pay more. But it was because of they foult - they didn't have car A category. They also didn't tell me when I came to pick up car that they want to rented me other class. I was sure that I'm getting class which I booket da Easyrentcars. They didn't tell me that they want to charged my credit card for that change. I've booked Seat Mii 2 Doors or similar. I get Fiat 500 2 Doors. For me it was a similar car - 2 doors, 1,2 engine, small car.
First of all, this was my worst car rental experience ever. I don't know if choosing Zuzuche or Europcar was the mistake. I arrived before 11:00 PM local time, but due to not knowing the time difference, I thought it was almost midnight. So I rushed to Europcar and told the lady there that I lost my luggage and would come back after filing a claim. She didn't kindly inform me that if I had completed the process then, I wouldn't need to pay a €55 fee. Furthermore, when I finally finished filing my claim, around 11:15 PM, Tenerife North Airport was completely deserted, and there was no one renting cars. I stood in the wrong line, and the elderly lady charged me €23.84 for a premium location fee. I was anxious to leave and frustrated about my lost luggage, so I didn't check the details carefully and signed. I could put up with all of this, but then, when I got back, I was charged an additional €24 for reasons unknown. The pre-authorization was clearly €100, but they only reimbursed €76. This is unacceptable. Even in China, such a scam company wouldn't exist. Hence, I give the partner company an extremely low rating. Oh, by the way, other companies have 24-hour service and are half the price on other websites. So, forget about domestic apps; it's disappointing.
