Employee in person and then employee on the phone said I could have brought the car back later due to their slowness in providing me with a car.
No one mentioned any price to pay on top and I have been “secretly” charged 40€.
Had to check statements to notice it.
Terrible planning at pick up (bank holiday apart) and customer service not transparent
We had to take a bus to pick up the car and were told to call to make a reservation, but no one answered the phone, so we had to get help from Beijing customer service. There was only one staff member at the car pickup location, and we waited a long time. Our three-day rental cost only 750 RMB, but insurance under 1800 EUR cost 93 EUR per day, almost the same as the total rental amount. Three days' insurance cost three times the total rental amount. It took nearly an hour to connect and wait for the bus, and another hour to pick up the car. By the time we could drive, it was almost dark. Driving on the right side, which we were not used to, made the journey quite dangerous.
Dublin airport car rental. Google. Easy. Arrive in Dublin. Call Easyrentcars. Stand in pickup location for 25 mins. Get on bus for 40 mins to car rental site residing 800 yards away. Reason: it’s a Hilton hotel shuttle. Route: drive 5 miles away from airport in rush hour traffic, drop people at Hilton, turn around and drive 5 miles through rush hour traffic back to airport and drop off poor car rental customers at Easirentcars. Wait for 30 mins to speak with front desk. Provide €2600 ‘deposit for damage’. Watch staff look perplexed that I wanted the car on the booking. Informed that a 7 seaters isn’t on site. Sit down and contemplate some inappropriate actions. 20 minutes later car arrives. Wait further 10 minutes as paperwork not ready. Woman on reception laughs saying it’s not always like this. Contemplate more bad things. Drive car away and drink heavily. After journey is completed. Angry. Unlikely to use them again even if I had to drive my family away from an apocalyptic event.
I waited 40 mins for the bus at the airport to find out that it was going to go to the hotel first and wait 30 min. That is not acceptable. And they dont tell you this when they tell you where to go for the pickup.
We are still waiting for our money back regarding the taxi transfer from the airport. We hope this is imminent. The insurance was a little high for a day!
Con men don’t both, very cheap, I had excess insurance so they were pissedoff that I didn’t take out insurance when I dropped it off they found a scrape that was already there but wasn’t on the paper work so had to fork out £400 so they could make money from me. I will very use again and beware
