The rental company proposed two solutions: first, switch to another car and pay an additional 61 Euros; second, cancel the order with no refund. I requested an automatic car, but it was denied. The pickup point was quite far. When we got the car, we noticed several scratches and had to go up and down several times to find a staff member to report it. It was exhausting.

The staff was nice, but the waiting time was just too long. We had to wait for a very long time. In Germany, it’s mostly self-service. They give you a key once everything is done, and then you walk to the parking lot to get the car. The Munich parking lot was the multi-story type, and after coming down, we lost the GPS signal in the congested streets. No... signal... at all, so we drove randomly for a while before the navigation started working. But the car was very clean. We returned it at Frankfurt airport; you just hand over the car, and it's done. Super convenient. Renting a car in Germany is awesome.

It's a bit of a walk from the train station, and you have to cross the street, but the front desk provided clear directions. You pick up the car yourself using the parking ticket given by the front desk at the exit. There aren't many gas stations nearby, so I used GPS to find one near another store to refuel. For returning the car, drive to the ground floor of the parking lot, and hand over the car, keys, and documents. There's no paperwork or handover documents needed.
