Exploited unfamiliarity with the language to upsell expensive insurance

There was a last-minute car change. The counter said that the reserved car was unavailable and offered an upgrade. After agreeing, went to the parking lot and found no car in the designated space. Asked a staff member and was told there were no cars left. They switched to another car and said it was the only one available, no other options. Very frustrating.

When picking up the car, I was given the wrong contract, but at least the issue was resolved when returning the car. It just took a bit long, both for picking up the car and resolving the issue. Takoma Airport's phone is hard to reach, and the same goes for calling other stores.

Waited a long time to get the car because the model I reserved wasn't available. They eventually gave me a Jeep, but it was an older model. It looked larger, but had less luggage space than the full-size sedan I originally booked.

The car rental plus full insurance was over 4000, and there were additional fees over 2000. I wanted to read the terms carefully, but the staff urged me to sign quickly. As it was my first time renting a car abroad and I trusted the Americans, I ended up paying more.
