The staff at the car rental location said it was a free upgrade, but they charged an additional driver fee. In the end, they charged a 500 yuan upgrade fee for the vehicle without charging the additional driver fee. The car pick-up was at night, and everything was in Turkish, so I didn't check carefully. Once I was charged after returning home, there was nothing I could do.
Unprofessional operation. 1. They added insurance options without informing us when picking up the car. We were careless and thought it was a deposit, only realizing the extra charge later. 2. Difficult to find the rental car company counter at the airport with poor service attitude. 3. They didn't provide any return receipt when returning the car.
We arrived late at night, already very tired, and due to the car rental issue, I didn't finish until 3 AM. It was really frustrating. The staff deliberately caused trouble because we didn't buy their insurance or upgrade to a Mercedes. We just wanted the car we booked in our country. Even though there were Renaults available, they wouldn't give us one. It was really unacceptable, and their attitude was very poor.
We arrived quite early, with almost no queue. Luckily, we arrived just as they started their workday at 8:20 AM.
