Never choose Hertz for car rentals. The queue is long, and any foreign member can cut in line ahead of you. The wait is at least half an hour, and their attitude is terrible. In my many times renting cars abroad, this was the worst experience. Most importantly, they didn't give me the car I booked. I reserved an Alfa Romeo Giulia, but they gave me a Volkswagen Touran instead, claiming it was an upgrade. There were only two adults, so why would we need an MPV? If it hadn't been raining, and my wife and kids hadn't been waiting for an hour and a half, and since it was past the free cancellation period due to the long wait, I would have canceled the order.

In all my overseas car rentals, this was the worst experience. Most importantly, they did not provide the car I wanted. I booked an Alfa Romeo Giulia but got a Volkswagen Touran instead, claiming it was an upgrade. Do two adults really need an MPV? If it weren't for the rain, my wife and child waiting for an hour and a half, and the long wait time, I would have canceled the order.

The company staff were very professional. Pickup and drop-off were at the same location, near Milan Central Station, just a ten-minute walk following Google Maps.

The car pickup process was very quick. After checking the documents and papers, I could pick up the car in the parking lot myself, which was very convenient. I recommend using Google Maps for directions to the store. The Milan train station store is easy to find. I returned the car at the Verona train station where the store is at the gas station.
