No lines, no waiting

The queue is understandable, but I paid for Chinese service which was not actually provided. There was a dispute when returning the car as they tried to charge for excess mileage (though the order stated unlimited mileage) and for the GPS device (which was barely functional). I strongly requested Chinese service, but the staff said no one could speak Chinese. After difficult negotiations, they agreed not to charge the above fees, but I still have not received a refund of over 200 dollars!

During broad daylight, there were only two staff members handling the procedures. It took over an hour of waiting in line for my turn. They started pushing various insurance plans, but as I had already purchased comprehensive insurance from Zuzuche and additional insurance from Ping An, I politely declined. The staff member immediately became unfriendly and angrily lectured me, saying that I should just say: 'Nothing' in the future. After the rental ended, I received an unexplained charge a few days later. I'm currently in communication with Zuzuche about this. I advise everyone to avoid this company if possible!

It felt like the agents in Los Angeles were particularly aggressive in upselling insurance to improve their performance. Regardless of your understanding, they would pitch it to you. There was even one instance at the Los Angeles airport branch where an agent falsely claimed that insurance was legally required when we specifically asked about it. However, when we returned the car and spoke to the manager, they resolved the issue efficiently, and we were refunded the full amount including taxes on the spot.

I had to wait in line for nearly two hours and was forced to rent a car without a reservation, costing me $393.01 for one day. They offer the lowest prices online, making it very busy here. Many people waited in line for over an hour just to reach the counter. Then, they informed me that my reservation didn’t exist. After spending nearly two hours there, I agreed to rent a Suburban as a walk-in, thinking it was a system error since they mentioned they had just upgraded their computer system that morning at 10am. Instead of paying $466 per week as per my reservation, I ended up paying $393.01 for just one day. A one-day rental costs as much as a week's reservation. I called customer service and realized later that this was a company-wide practice: they lure you in with low prices and then overcharge you.
