The service was convenient, and the car was very new, with just over 9,000 miles on it—probably only a few months old. There was a slight attempt to promote insurance, but they stopped after I declined.
The car rental branch had an initial round of upselling, which I had to decline one by one. The POS machine at the branch had issues, causing significant delays until it was replaced and payment finally went through. Returning the car was very convenient, just parked and handed over the keys.
The queue was too long, and the service experience was very poor. At San Francisco Airport, it took 1.5 hours to handle the paperwork and another half an hour in line to pick up the car! The car model felt much smaller than what was reserved, but I couldn't wait in line any longer.
It's unbelievably bad, they try to scam you at every opportunity. Charged us hundreds of dollars upfront and refused to refund even after we declined additional services. They inexplicably charged city taxes at $75 per city, and an extra $60 for returning the car one hour late. The worst part was trying to replace our rented luxury SUV with a regular Nissan. After refusing, we were made to wait a long time, only to find several matching models in the parking lot. Truly a dishonest rental company with no merits! We still haven't received several thousand dollars back!!!
