The car rental process was very satisfactory. The actual car provided was a Corolla—fuel-efficient, agile, and easy to handle. Most importantly, it was quite new, with only around 4,000 kilometers on it. The staff at the rental company were extremely friendly and professional. There was no unnecessary upselling whatsoever. Every time they charged my credit card, they would explain the fee with a copy of the receipt. Moreover, they refunded the pre-authorized deposit to my credit card just one week after I returned to the country.
Terrible experience. The process was slow, and they kept finding ways to charge extra fees. Returning the car was extremely difficult to locate. The additional charges were reported to the rental platform, but they just kept saying they would look into it without issuing a refund.
The process was simple, no insurance upselling, full tank on pick up and return, and they marked all the existing damages. Three people fit comfortably, with space for three 24-inch suitcases in the trunk.
Overall acceptable, but the car was changed at the last minute.
