The lady at the desk wouldn't accept my credit card, as the limit wasn't quite big enough. Also wouldn't accept any of the remaining 3 debit cards we brought with us. This meant we had to spend a considerable amount more on the full insurance, which we didn't want.
Not being warned of needing a huge credit limit on your credit card meant we had to pay twice as much.
There were also no details of the drop-off location and we had to frantically search for the correct phone number so we didn't miss our flight, which added to the stress.

Spoke to someone online about adding a baby seat to the booking. That was fine, but Thrifty didn't even have it in their system at their end, so we had to add it on there anyway.
The drop-off details were incorrect and we almost missed our flight.

Like: Incredible price for three days, guy at airport service desk was laid back, very pleasant and there was no pressure, VW Polo was nearly new, in good condition and great little car Dislike: When I returned the car, I couldn't find anyone to check it in so I went to reception. The guy asked if everything was ok and took the keys; trusting I had not damaged the car. I realised afterwards that they were still able to take money from my credit card so I checked my card for a few days afterwards.
Everything was fine but it would have been even better if I'd had it confirmed earlier. Not a problem but that's the only thing I can think of where the experience could have been even better.
I will hire a car again through Easy Rent / Thrifty when I'm in Ireland and next time I will be familiar with the procedure. Thank you
