Try to give me a smaller car than I booked and were only interested in selling me an upgrade. Took nearly an hour of arguing to get a car big enough. Terrible customer service
When picking up the car, I asked the staff for a newer vehicle, but the car I received had nearly 80,000 kilometers on it and was covered in scratches. Additionally, there was an upsell attempt during pickup.
Awful rental company, first bad experience after years of renting. They secretly added various insurance charges totaling nearly 200 euros; can't even file a complaint. Terrible.
Surprisingly there was a long queue and the staff were doing their best but also were helping each other with issues so waiting times exceeded expectations. I assume though it was a one off thing.
The car was parked horribly. There was no space to open the door not to mention the distance to the next parked car was maybe 20cm. I had to get in the car from the back seat and crawl to the driver seat ! I hope this won't happen again.
I will yet try Europcar again.
