Very convenient. If your English isn't good, just wait at the dedicated shuttle stop for a bit, hop on the rental company's shuttle when you see it and show the driver your booking. That's usually enough to handle things. Once at the counter, just give your booking, necessary documents, ID, and credit card to the staff.
The Melbourne city branch closes at 5 PM, and they won't accept returns even a few minutes late. You have to return the car the next morning, and they charge an extra half-day rental fee.
Everything was good, but there is no counter at the airport. You need to call for a shuttle, which can be difficult if you are not fluent in English.
