Why not clearly state that there is a shuttle service from Melbourne airport to 2 Tarmac Drive, at 30 minutes interval, and shuttle service operating hours, at this x location indicated clearly in a picture of the Melbourne airport map?
i ended up having to spend A$35 to get a taxi from the airport to pick up location; and learned only when i returned the vehicle 7 days later, of the pickup service every 30 minutes.
It's like the chef put in all his efforts to create the legendary masterpiece dish, and right before delivering to the customers, the waiter let the dish gets cold sitting for 30 minutes as he neglects it and do other stuff.
You clearly intended for maximum customer satisfaction, hence the resources and brainpower put into ensuring there is the shuttle service. Why not advertise that CLEARLY and BOLDLY to make sure potential customers know it?

Was lucky enough to be given a brand new car with only 500km's on the clock so it was a dream to drive, was super clean and smelt good.
The courtesy bus was the best I've been in from a budget company. Only downside was waiting at the airport, for a slightly extended period, for passengers they had on the list even though they had a continual rotation of 2 buses.

Great Ocean Road, 150 kilometers from destination. The car stalled and the battery died in less than five minutes. Called for roadside assistance, waited over two hours, and they sent a tow truck which took us in the opposite direction to a small town without repairing the car. East Coast didn’t send a replacement car in time. We had to spend the night on the street in a small town with my pregnant wife. Feeling desperate, we found a local resident who helped jumpstart the car. Throughout this ordeal, East Coast customer service never called to check on us. When we first called East Coast, a male staff just told us to call the number on the key and mentioned that if the problem was our fault, we would be charged. I advise everyone not to rent from East Coast; it’s very inconvenient if anything goes wrong while you're away.

There is no storefront at the airport, and I waited a long time, making several calls, even contacting the domestic rental website, before the free shuttle arrived. It wasted a lot of time, and I will never choose this company again. The deposit of AUD 1000 is higher than other companies, and it was only released a month after returning home. Additionally, my credit card was charged AUD 24.18 after returning, without any explanation or receipt. I rented cars from other companies twice before in Australia and never encountered such issues. It's terrible.

I didn't get the car at all!!! The flight arrived on time, called the store in advance, informed them that I was out of customs and waiting for my luggage, and asked if they could wait for me a bit. They said no! They close at 10 PM sharp! If the store is closed, come to pick up the car tomorrow! I rushed to get my luggage and out of the airport, took a taxi straight to the rental store fearing delays, and the store was already closed! I had to take a taxi to the hotel, costing me 104 AUD! Took a taxi to the airport store the next morning, only to be told no cars were available for the next few days. Spent another 98 AUD on taxi fares, and in the end, I couldn't rent a car! I strongly advise against renting from this company—they're not reliable, the location is far from the airport, and both picking up and returning the car is inconvenient. Also, the deposit for the car booking hasn't been refunded! This was a truly terrible rental experience! It's not the booking platform's fault; the rental company has serious issues!

The staff at the Melbourne Airport branch are quite friendly, and they offer services in Chinese. However, the Chinese service often comes with upselling, trying to scare you into buying full insurance, which doesn't feel good. The thing I'm most dissatisfied with is the car condition. Being the cheapest rental company, the cars are usually older models. A 2013 model is still acceptable, but I was given a 2010 Corolla, a 6-year-old car with over 90,000 kilometers and various scratches. I might as well buy a lottery ticket. The old engine combined with an outdated 4-speed automatic transmission results in high fuel consumption.

The service attitude was very satisfactory. After arriving at the airport, I called the store to get the information on where to wait for the free shuttle, which was actually easy to find. When you exit the terminal, you will see three lanes of traffic. The second lane is generally where hotel shuttles wait. Look for a brown sign with white letters, and you can wait near there. The East Coast shuttle is white with yellow letters and a big 'E'. This shuttle will take you to the store to pick up your car.

Renting a CRV for $39 a day, what more can you ask for? 'Fantastic!' The car had 45,000 miles on it, but it was well-maintained and still drove great. However, QEEQ told us insurance was included, but the rental company said it wasn't, and we had to buy it separately, and it wasn't zero deductible. In the end, we didn’t buy it from them. We were a bit nervous throughout the trip.

In fact, East Coast Rentals' service was excellent. The only slight inconvenience was that it’s not at the airport, requiring a company shuttle to pick up the car. As soon as we arrived at the lot, we saw a fleet of spotless white cars, all very new. There were no hidden requirements; they simply asked if we wanted to purchase insurance without pushing it. However, since we were new to Melbourne, it took us some time to find the pickup point. The car was very new, with just over 6000 kilometers on it, and it was very easy to drive. On our way back to the airport, other renters informed us that we needed to register on the local traffic website to pay toll fees, but the rental company did not provide this information when we picked up or returned the car. The service at this Melbourne branch is poor, maybe because all the staff are women. They don't explain basic vehicle operations, unlike Brisbane. Since it was not a familiar car model, I didn't know whether it had a handbrake or footbrake, and how to open the fuel cap (which was confusing). The most irritating part was that when I returned to retrieve something I forgot just half an hour after returning the car, it was already gone, and they pretended to help me look for it. Overall acceptable. The car was quite new with just over 7000 kilometers. When I called after arriving at the airport, no one answered, so I went directly to the bus stop to wait for the shuttle, which was a very bad experience. Returning the car was straightforward; just drove into the return point. The staff didn’t say much, and I haven't received the bill yet. I'll check if there are any extra charges once it arrives.

Shuttle service to and from Terminal 2, easy to find. Booked a RAV4 but was given a Yaris Cross instead. The car was smaller and the driving experience was not as good due to the downgrade.

Wanted a Corolla but got an MG3 instead, which they said was of the same class. Personally felt it was smaller, making it difficult to pack luggage. The car was relatively new with just over 17,000 km on it. Drove 1400 km in 4 days. The engine was a bit weak, especially on hills. Otherwise, the experience was quite pleasant.

They forced me to pay 1000 dollars as a bond. And I ve told them it is a change in terms and conditions and they told me pay insurance 150 more or 1000 dollars bond or we can't give you car after I came there.

The driving experience was great. I waited in line for a while at the store, and the staff calculated the price on a form and tried to sell me insurance. I declined, and she didn't say much. She even joked about the long address on my ID card, which took a while to register, haha.
