Hertz counter is located in the airport. Please follow the guidelines of the airport and pick up the car at the counter. Between 10pm and 7am please bypass Terminal counters and go directly to car park office for vehicle collection.

    The car was good. Although it was the specified model, we got upgraded to a Mitsubishi SUV at the store. The service staff were very friendly. We rented a child seat, which was quite spacious, so it was still cramped for a family of five. The on-site charges were about $40 more than the price listed on the rental website. There were many items listed, likely fees and not taxes! But I still don't understand why. When asked, customer service said it's the $75 child seat tax. Do you assume customers don't understand English?!

    The service at the Melbourne airport location was very poor. First, I booked an Audi Q7 two months in advance. During those two months, no one informed me that the car was unavailable. When I arrived, they told me that there were no Q7s, and they didn't have any 7-seaters either. Why wasn't I informed earlier if there were no cars available during those two months? Not even a single other 7-seater? The staff didn't even apologize, telling me confidently that there were no cars, and suggesting I switch to a smaller car. I had three people, three suitcases, and two backpacks. How could a small car fit all that? I booked a Q7 for the comfort, not to make do with a smaller car! Second, the staff rudely informed me that the insurance I bought on Zuzuche wasn't recognized by Hertz! Excuse me? I bought full coverage and additional insurance! They gave me a document stating that if there was an accident and I didn't buy their insurance, I would be liable for 5500 AUD! My insurance wasn't applicable! Third, they finally gave me an Audi Q5, which took almost an hour to get. During this time, I called Zuzuche's customer service to complain, but nothing was resolved! The car hadn't been cleaned at all. I picked up the car late at night, so I didn't have time to inspect it. We arrived at 6:30 PM and got the car at 8 PM, needing to drive to Geelong, an hour away from Melbourne. The next day, I found the back seats were filthy. My daughter sat in the back, and her shorts were stained. We had to clean the seats bit by bit! Also, the MMI system stopped working the next day. We had already left Melbourne and couldn't return to the office. I called Zuzuche, who told me Hertz would contact me, but no one ever did! We also rented from Hertz in Sydney, and that car hadn't been cleaned either. The first car we got in Sydney had tire pressure issues, but luckily we were still in Sydney and quickly went back to the office. The staff told me I could either fill up the gas tank before returning or inflate the tires myself. Was it my fault the tire pressure was low? After arguing for a while, they finally replaced the car without conditions. The first staff member who served me in Sydney was nice and patiently explained that I could drive confidently because I had bought full coverage. She also asked if I wanted to purchase a toll pass to avoid additional charges on toll roads. I appreciated that service. However, the Melbourne staff was very impatient once I refused to buy their recommended insurance, and they just handed me the rental documents and moved on to the next customer. Before returning the car, we refueled, but since we had to drive to the airport, the gas gauge might not have shown full after a half-hour drive. An inspector told us the tank wasn't full and asked for either 60 AUD or suggested we refuel again. We drove to a nearby gas station and spent 6 AUD on gas to get the approval. This was my first experience with Hertz, and I will never use them again! The company abuses its position. The waiting time was long, the car was dirty, and there were problems. My two rentals were dirty with issues. This is definitely not an isolated incident!

Toll fees were charged to the credit card after returning the car, with Hertz charging a service fee. Added a second driver when picking up the car, costing AUD 5/day, and the second driver’s credit card could be used for deposit and payment.

Additionally, regarding local traffic fines, I recommend that QEEQ provides assistance or directly handles these. This is one of the most important services from an agent. QEEQ is essentially an agent or intermediary, but many things I had to handle directly with third parties. I signed the contract with QEEQ, so I feel like QEEQ is trying to avoid responsibility.

    Terrible experience!!! Just awful!!! We booked a mid-size SUV, and HERTZ's list included four models: RAV4, OUTLANDER, X-TRAIL, and a Renault model, but we ended up with a very poor HYUNDAI TUCSON. It has weak power!! It struggled to climb hills in Melbourne and had turtle-like acceleration when loaded!! The key issue is that this car wasn't even listed in HERTZ's promotional brochure! False advertising!!!! Even worse, when returning the car at the airport, we had already refueled it fully, but the inspector (of Indian descent) claimed the tank was not full and said that refueling only counts if done within 15KM of the return location, allegedly according to their contract. This is pure extortion! We argued with this person, but he was very stubborn and forcefully charged us additional fees (refueling service fee + postage) and was very rude! We ended up speaking multiple times with the HERTZ office manager, who finally waived these charges!!! This fee was outright extortion!!! It wasted our time and energy, making us almost miss our flight!!! We will never use this damn company again!!!

    Complaint about the Chinese female clerk at Melbourne Airport branch on December 26th around 6-7 pm! The child seat was clearly reserved through the Car Rental platform, but upon arrival at the store, they said it wasn't reserved. It was already past 7 pm, and we had to drive out to buy one. Additionally, she did not inform me to inspect the car condition beforehand, nor did she allow me to check it myself before signing the rental agreement. As a result, I signed the order without seeing the car, and did not notice the pre-existing scratch on the right side of the car's front. Because we were in a hurry to buy a safety seat, there was no time to take photos of the car, which caused the store to blame me for the scratch on the left side of the car when returning it. Moreover, due to the New Year’s Eve event on December 31st, I called in the morning to say I would return the car in the evening, but I wasn't informed about the road closures. This led to a futile trip to return the car, and I had to pay an extra day's rental to return it the next day. Extremely dissatisfied with Hertz's overall service attitude!

    1. I arrived at the store at 2:50 PM but only managed to get the car at 4:40 PM, even though my appointment was at 3:30 PM. Extremely long wait times. 2. The staff told me that there were no Group F large SUVs available and offered me a Group E smaller SUV instead. I clearly stated that I had prepaid and wouldn’t accept a downgrade. The staff then said they would upgrade me to an 8-seater van. I explained that I had booked an SUV specifically to experience driving an SUV on the Great Ocean Road. She actually blamed the lack of cars on the numerous Chinese tourists visiting during the Lunar New Year, saying it wasn't their fault. It was the first time I heard a rental company staff blame their poor vehicle management on customers. 3. Reluctantly, I agreed to the 8-seater van, but then she told me the vehicle hadn't arrived at the store yet and asked me to keep waiting. I waited another half hour with no sign of the car. I called the overseas hotline of Zuzuche, and after their customer service intervened, the staff member got upset and stressed several times that she was “serving me.” After another 15 minutes, she finally told me where the car was parked. 4. The staff kept pushing me to prepay 100 AUD for tolls and an additional 50 AUD airport tax, a total of 150 AUD. Even after I clearly refused, she entered these charges into the order anyway and printed it out.     When picking up the car, I was told that there were no Corolla hatchbacks available, and I was given a Kia Cerato instead.     The car rental location at Melbourne Airport is easy to find. After collecting luggage, just cross the zebra crossing outside the airport exit to the opposite side. It takes about 5 minutes to walk there. We did the paperwork in the afternoon around 2 PM. We also paid about 70 AUD for all tolls during the 3-day trip. The return time can be anytime before 4 PM on the agreed return day. We chose to return the car at a location in downtown Melbourne, which is less than 1 kilometer from Federation Square. It was also easy to find. There are gas stations near the return location, and the return process was simple, taking about 15 minutes to complete. We got a free upgrade to a new 2018 car with just 9000 kilometers on it. Adding an additional family member as a driver did not incur extra charges.

    First of all, the location is very easy to find, right across the street. When we arrived, we were informed that the Camry we booked was unavailable and were given a CHR instead. At the Hertz store, the types of cars are clearly labeled, with the Camry being a full-size vehicle and the CHR being a small-size SUV, yet they used the word 'upgrade' for this change. Upgrade?? The rear space was ridiculously small, the view was extremely limited due to the window design, and the trunk was so small it could only fit two carry-on bags and two backpacks. The Camry has a 2.5L engine, but we got a small 1.2T car, and they call that an upgrade? I had prepaid the full amount; why was there no car for me when I arrived? Shouldn't there have been a reserved car for me? The car was in good condition, with adaptive cruise control and auto hold, so it was likely a 2018-2019 model. However, the noise from the wind and tires was very loud, making the ride much less comfortable (I can compare as I drove a Camry in Sydney). Returning the car was easy, just follow the navigation, which was nice. Overall, I was quite dissatisfied as I chose Hertz for its good reputation in the car rental industry. Quite disappointed.

    Communication between Zuzuche and the overseas car rental company was completely unsuccessful. I completed the booking on the Zuzuche website and arrived at the Hertz car rental at Melbourne Airport on the morning of May 12. The car rental agency told me they had no information about my booking. I tried to contact Zuzuche for over an hour with no answer. I was stuck at the car rental office for more than two hours without a car, which disrupted my travel plans. I had to make a new booking directly with the car rental agency at a much higher cost than my Zuzuche booking.
