You can walk to the counter of Alamo - Melbourne Tullamarine Airport car rental.

The Rental office is located opposite the T1, T2 and T3 terminals. If you arrive at Terminal T4 you need to make your way to be outside Terminal T3 to proceed. We are on the ground floor of the multistory carpark opposite Terminals T1, T2, and T3. Proceed to our office to complete your rental contract. Our rental cars are parked nearby to the office.

    I rented a Hyundai i20 which is relatively a small car. At the counter, I found out this car is not available and they gave me a Mitsubishi Pajero sport which was huge. To them, this was an upgrade for free but to me having a small suitcase and being on 3 day business trip, it was extremely difficult to drive in Melbourne in the rush hour and park the car. I wish I knew that they might not have a small car and then I would rent another car.

    I specifically chose a in-terminal location, we had to go from terminal 2 to terminal 1 and when we got there there wasn't anyone at the counter. We had to take all of our luggage and haul it to the Royal hotel where there was another counter and finally could get my car. Service at the counter was good and we ended up upgrading to a larger SUV. The returning area was poorly signaled and I actually had to go on foot to the return area to fetch someone to get my final return procedure

    It was incredibly difficult to find the car hire department at the Melbourne Airport upon landing. There are hardly any signs pointing you in the correct direction. Once we found the correct area, which is actually across the street from the baggage terminal, the pick up was easy. The car we had this time was a hyundai i3, but it wasn't well maintained and the driver's side seat had stains on it and the fabric was well worn in the entire car. We couldn't use the GPS or cruise control due to needing an SD card. The car used a ton of gas and didn't feel like the upgrade was worth it compared to the Mitsubishi Mirage I had driven the week before in Tasmania, which was new and awesome on gas with no bells and whistles to be disappointed with. Overall, I wouldn't spring for the extra money on my next vehicle hire. Don't be surprised when you rent the vehicle to get asked to pre-purchase gas at a discount upon return and spring for road side assistance.

    I was observing the staff who attended to me and the one next to me.. That customer was from the U. S as u had overheard the conversion.. And was treated way better than I was treated, maybe because of my name and race I suppose I could be wrong but since you ask for feedback I'm just providing it.i was as if I was talking to a robot that's how I felt. Nothing else. I'm from customer service even till now it's very important you make all customers irregardless of who they are must make them feel that they are all very important.     The staff at Alamo were much less friendly compared to Hertz and Avis. My husband forgot to bring his own credit card, so we couldn't rent the X5 at all! They said it's a requirement in Victoria that the driver must have their own credit card, and my card wouldn't work either! And yet, when we went to Avis and Hertz, they said there's no issue as long as the credit card holder authorizes the driver and signs an authorization form! I had prepaid all the fees! When I called the rental company, they wouldn't refund my money or let me switch to another car rental company just after six minutes! We lost more than 4,000 RMB! Beware, everyone! Never prepay! Never use Alamo!!!

    No need to queue, probably the least crowded rental company. The staff will try to push you to add insurance or buy fuel, which is expected. We booked a 7-seater car, but upon arrival, they told us there were no 7-seaters available and downgraded us to a 5-seater without any discounts. Later, we did see 7-seaters in the parking lot.

    The staff were arrogant when I picked up the car. Despite having no customers, three employees made me wait a long time, saying they needed to finish previous orders first. I rented a seven-seater MPV, but they initially tried to give me a five-seater MG at half the rental cost, falsely claiming there were no seven-seaters available. Only after I argued did they reluctantly give me another customer's seven-seater. Their behavior was disgraceful. They were extremely polite to European customers. It took me an hour to get the car, while a European customer who arrived later got his car in 10 minutes. The drop-off process was convenient.
