When the line is out the door and all other counters are empty, you need to forgo the time consuming up-sell and just get people into their cars. Waiting over an hour left me going to Dollar when I needed another car just because I did not want to wait, although you were less expensive.
The line at the counter was long and there was lots of pressure to add various items onto my reservation. When I went to pick up the actual car, the employee kept telling me they were bringing mine out, but then helped everyone in line before me. After waiting about 40 minutes for them to bring the car out, the man had lost my receipt (he took it with him to pull the car). He told me the employee at the gate could print a new one. Got to the front of the gate. Employee had no idea how to do this. Had to wait at the front of the line and hold everyone else up behind me for about 20 minutes until they printed a new receipt. Pick up was a VERY slow process.

RENTING THE CAR AT THE COUNTER WAS A NIGHTMARE. WE SPENT ONE HOUR AND 30 MINUTES . ALL OF US IN LINE WERE MAD AND UPSET . THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO US . FOX COULD FIX THIS EASILY , BUT HAS CHOOSEN NOT TO DO SO . THE LAST TIME I RENTED FROM FOX IT WAS THE SAME .
This was the best price for our needs. When we looked for the rental place, we finally found a bus outside that drove us to the rental area. This took at least 20 minutes even though the driver probably never used his brakes.
When we checked out, the lady bombarded us with "Extras". Did we want toll protection, gas plan, etc. We did pay extra for the gas because we knew we would buy gas but had no idea what it would cost & we could bring it back empty. Gas was not that high so we should have skipped this & bought gas. The toll price was high but we set our Garmin to avoid toll roads so this was a savings.
We do not rent often so overall this was a fair price, just be ready to make lots of decisions after you land, before you eat or mostly anything else.
Also, you are supposed to inspect the vehicle & sign a form stating what defects it has. They had just washed this one so it was still wet. We had to inspect it in a garage with minimal light so the wet vehicle hid many things if we had not been looking closely. We took pictures of everything we found & marked their paper.
We were not charged anything extra so all worked out well.

The Jeep we rented had some electrical issues that effected the radio. It was really an inconvenience to have to go all the way back to the airport ( over an hour away) to exchange cars.
Took over an hour in line at SeaTac airport to get car. When I got to car, no keys. Had to wait until they determined they could not find the keys, and then they delivered another vehicle to replace the one I had orginally rented.
When we arrived there was a long line of customers with reservations and they had NO CARS! We waited in line because they were saying they would price match to another company, but when we finally got to the agent she said they wouldn't price match for us because ours was a one way rental. We had to take an uber to a hotel at 2:30 am and come back in an uber at 8 am, which made a bad start to our vacation. The next morning they did at least upgrade our car.

Long wait to get the car at the rental counter. System or employee taking too long. Employee not friendly. Car needed new wiper blades as it was hard to see in the rain in Seattle. And it rains almost daily there. Kinda of a safety hazard.
There was no line at the car rental and about 4 people on staff so we were helped right away. They tried to up-sell us on about 5 different things. One of which is insurance and they tell you that if you don't go with their insurance and the car ends up in the shop they will charge you the daily rent fee for as long as they can't rent the car. Maybe this is typical but I have never had a company tell me that so I would probably look around for a different company the next time that doesn't have this policy. The car itself had been cleaned but hadn't been given as much care as we are used to with rentals.
