The service attitude was okay. Originally, we rented a Corolla, but upon pickup, we were intentionally given the smallest hatchback. After returning to the store and negotiating a second time, they finally provided us with a sedan. It seemed like they were pretending not to understand our request.
The service has been slow recently during the pandemic. I was given a Nissan Rouge from the same group. The car had some issues; it shook while driving at high speed and the engine noise inside was like being in an airplane cabin...
The first car had an airbag warning light, and the replacement also had issues and was an old car. When I picked up the first car, the staff just walked me to the car and left without saying anything.
“The car ran well and needed to fill up less than I thought I would on such a long trip.”
About Hertz:8.0/10
Car over all was very clean but found old food like smarties and cornflakes under the seat from previous renters.
Also I was unable to reach the Hertz local branch by calling their local line of the Toronto Airport. Kept connecting me to their general line and could not get a hold of anyone to let them know that I can't find their location.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
The pick up location was incorrect and caused a lot of undue frustration. The rental cars were in Terminal 1 and not Terminal 3 of the airport.
The car was very new and clean. It was so new that it still had a strong smell, especially after being parked under the sun for a while, it needed to be aired out.
The car felt a bit old. I rented it for 27 days, and the dashboard indicated maintenance was needed. I went back to the rental company to request a car change, but the staff said to ignore it and drive as usual. Although there were no issues afterward, I was uneasy the whole time. Negative review! Additionally, I asked about extending the rental period during my visit, but the extension cost was much higher, and I would have to return to the store at the end of the period. I decided against it.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
