The IceRentalCars - Reykjavik - Keflavik International Airport car rental location is located out of the airport

Upon arrival and after clearing customs please exit the terminal and follow the signs for car rental shuttle. Proceed through a covered walkway to the shuttle pick-up point which is at the end. The car rental shuttle service runs every 15 minutes and will take you to the Ice Rental office. The local number 354 591 7900 will work on your cell phone when using an international roaming service. If the line fails to connect re-dial 00 354 591 7900. Drop-off Instructions

The customer will be asked to return his car to the same location as where he will collect the car and can avail of the transport services on offer to return to the airport terminal at this time.

Not so good:The car made a terrible noise when accelerating from after shifting gears. Note that it had 163000kms on its clock The front seats were all stained. Very good: the car was comfortable and drove fine everywhere for 5 days. It had heated seats and heated wheel a nice bonus in november

Although the location is a bit far from the airport, the service is great. There's a pickup service from the airport when you rent the car and a drop-off service when you return it. The staff is very friendly, and you can ask them about Iceland road signs if you haven't done much research.

When booking through Zuzuche, I carefully checked the terms, which said a pre-authorization of 2500 euros would be held. However, at the store, they said it would be 3000 euros unless I purchased their insurance. Although I explained that I had already bought insurance through Zuzuche, they insisted on the 3000 euros deposit. Additionally, the price for the child booster seat was higher than quoted on Zuzuche. There was no one to pick us up from the airport and we waited a long time until I called them. The only positive aspect was that the car was relatively new.

Terrible experience with the car rental company. Booked a car but couldn't pick it up. We followed the instructions after leaving the airport, but there was no shuttle bus. Had to drag our luggage to find the store, only to find it closed due to Christmas, despite confirming the rental time multiple times. Stranded in cold and hunger in Iceland for 4 hours until 3 AM! Paid over 8000 RMB for 6 days. To avoid delaying our trip, we rented a car from a local agency for 3 days, but only received a partial refund of around 1000 RMB. Do not rent from here; they take your money and provide no car.

Terrible experience with the car rental company. Booked a car but couldn't pick it up. When we arrived at the airport and followed the instructions, there was no shuttle bus. We had to drag our luggage to the office, only to find it closed due to Christmas, despite us confirming the rental time multiple times. Iceland was cold and we were hungry, unable to find the car, waiting in the freezing cold for 4 hours until 3 AM! I spent over 8000 yuan for a 6-day rental from this company. To not delay our trip, we had to find a local car rental company and rented for 3 days but only got a refund of 1000 yuan! Do not rent here, they took the money but provided no car.
