You can walk to the counter of ASIA CAR - Klia car rental.

Car Rental Instructions: The KLIA 1 branch is located at Counter 18 inside Terminal 1 of the airport (ASIA CAR). To reach the KLIA1 branch, proceed to Counter 18 inside Terminal 1 where the Car Rental Center is located. Look for the sign of Galaxy Asia Car to locate the airport counter. After collecting your luggage, proceed to Gate 5 in the Arrival Hall of Terminal 1, then turn right and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Follow the signs to Block C and Block D parking areas, then turn right to cross the parking lot until you reach the end wall. You will see an elevator leading to Level G in Block D area. Take the elevator down to find the car rental counter, which is located in this area. Kind reminder: Please confirm the pick-up locations at KLIA 1 and KLIA 2. The staff will assist you with your order. The distance between KLIA 1 and KLIA 2 is 10km. Our company has car rental counters at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to provide pick-up services. Please ensure your flight arrives at the same terminal as the pick-up counter. For pick-ups outside of business hours, please contact the branch in advance. Additional charges apply from 22:00-23:59 (MYR80) and 00:00-07:59 (MYR150). We operate as usual on holidays. Drop-off Instructions

Car Rental Instructions: To pick up your rental car from the KLIA 1 branch, head to Counter 18 inside Terminal 1 of the airport (ASIA CAR). Look for the Galaxy Asia Car sign at the Car Rental Center located at Counter 18. After retrieving your luggage, make your way to Gate 5 in the Arrival Hall of Terminal 1, turn right, and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Follow the signs to Block C and Block D parking areas, then turn right and cross the parking lot until you reach the end wall. An elevator leading to Level G in the Block D area will be visible. Take the elevator down to locate the car rental counter in this area. Please remember to confirm the pick-up locations at both KLIA 1 and KLIA 2. The distance between the two terminals is 10km. Our company operates car rental counters at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to cater to your pick-up needs. Ensure that your flight arrival aligns with your pick-up location. Our staff will be available to assist you with your rental order.

I was told everything was good when drop off. The car was examined carefully by the drop off staff and I was told all was good. Afterwards, received call stating the petrol was not full despite filling the petrol full and bar was full during the drop off process and charges extra for petrol. I don't have time to return to the drop off/argue as already boarding for my flight.

The car came with alot of scratches and marks on the body, despite being relatively new with low mileage. Second let down was that this car’s (Persona) cabin is much smaller than it looks from the outside, the back passenger wouldn’t sit comfortably if he’s taller than say 5.10”. What I like about this rental company was that they don’t make you wait for pick-up and drop-off. They’re professional, give clear instructions with directions for pick-up (few days before via sms) and when you’re there to collect the car with about almost everything you need to know on local driving.

The car door was loose, and the audio system was broken. We requested a car change, but they initially insisted there was no problem and blamed us for not knowing how to use the car. Eventually, they just ignored us. The radio was filled with static the entire trip, and the door was unstable, making it very unsafe. This ruined our experience and we were extremely dissatisfied with the rental company's service attitude!

The car wasn't very new, with an odometer reading of 13,000 kilometers that had clearly been altered. At pickup, I was given a Honda City with wheels produced in 2016. The left front tire had two deep 3mm dents, posing a high risk of a blowout, so I refused to take it. They offered me a Perodua instead, and after replacing the tires the next day, I drove from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh to switch cars.
