I’m still not sure what’s happened but I was informed by the rental agent and the car washer that I needed to pay them £135.00 to fix a chip on the windscreen, which I disputed. They wouldn’t let me leave the building until I paid. I explained that they had my details, they should write to me with evidence of any damage but they intimidated me into paying and actually said they wouldn’t let me leave until I had paid! I’ve made a customer service complaint and sent a picture of the clear windscreen. If it’s not resolved through the complaints process, I’ll move to a letter before action.
The whole experience was easy and quick. they made us feel very welcome. The car was excellent. I have never driven a corsa before and was pleasantly surprised.
They infact went above and beyond as I stupidly left my phone in the car and Samantha came into the terminal and handed it to security so I could get it before my flight.

Overall, it was fine. At the start, they insisted we buy additional insurance with a not very friendly tone. I called QEEQ and then they didn't insist anymore. At return, they claimed the fuel tank wasn't full. I provided the fuel receipt, and they said OK. The car's headlights were not bright enough, and I mentioned it to the staff upon return, hoping they fix it for future renters driving at night.
Car was not full of fuel on pick up, which it should have been. I returned it full. Mentioned this to staff when dropping off the car & was offered a free half tank of fuel, should I hire another car from them, which I do not know if I will ever need to.
More staff at the counter (there was only one person) would have shortened the wait. A street address would have helped the sat nav find the drop off location. £1800 hold on my credit card for up to 28 days is excessive and will stop me from using this company again
Terrible company. I booked a car for 9 AM, but due to some delays, I arrived 2 hours and 18 minutes late. They said there were no cars left. Such a big company doesn't even have one automatic car? And their attitude was awful, saying they only hold the car for two hours and after that you're on your own. The staff had a strange accent and gave unclear explanations.
Like: It’s a quick and easy online transaction to hire the car. Upon airport arrival the office is with all the other hire car companies located AT the airport. The staff are super friendly and the car is always ready for you. It’s certainly the best company I have used and I will continue to use again and again. Dislike: There can be a lot of up-sell at the counter and this time round the car wasn’t filled up right to the top but I didn’t notice until I had left the airport. It was only a fiver or so.
The car was new and in good condition, returning the car was convenient, the price was reasonable, and there was mutual trust between the customer and the company.
